Adjustment of Fees
Cancellations - Underenrolled courses will be cancelled on Friday, August 31, 2007. If one of your courses is cancelled, you will be notified. A full refund is given to students who have paid and do not substitute another course.
Assessments - Fees are reassessed and adjusted according to credit enrollment and student status at the end of the second week of classes. This results from drop/add transactions completed during the ADD period. Important: Dropping courses after the ADD period will not reduce term bills. Students anticipating fee adjustments must complete all drop/add transactions by the reassessment deadline. This policy pertains to all downward adjustment, including a) credit overload, b) change from full-time to part-time, c) part-time students dropping courses. For further information on the Adjustment Policy for Courses dropped During the Add Period click here.
Refunds - Refunds of payments to the University are made only to students who officially withdraw from the University, or take a Leave of Absence, pro-rated according to the policy and schedule stated in the "Fees, Expenses and Financial Aid" section of the current Bulletin of the University of Rhode Island. Students who stop attending classes and do not drop or file a Leave of Absence or Withdrawal Form may be liable for full tuition and subject to academic and/or financial sanctions.

Part-Time Versus Full-Time Registration
Matriculated ASFCCE students now have the opportunity to enroll on a full-time basis for substantial savings on tuition costs. A full-time student is someone in an undergraduate program taking 12 or more credits or in a graduate program enrolled in 9 or more credits. Undergraduates taking 11 or fewer credits and graduate students taking 8 or fewer are considered to be part-time students and are assessed on a per-credit basis. Non-degree students are billed according to course level.
