Dear Faculty, Department Chairs, and Deans:
The Vice President of the Division of Research and Economic Development and the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs are pleased to announce a joint initiative that will provide small grants to support research, creative, artistic, and scholarly activities of both undergraduate and graduate students. These efforts are intended to demonstrate the value placed on developing the research capacity of our students and the important role research has in a quality academic experience.
The total amount of funds available in each program is $40,000. Awards will be distributed to students with quality projects representing a wide variety of disciplines and the full range of diversity within the University. Students who apply for awards will need faculty sponsors to supervise their proposed projects.
Please encourage your students to apply to these programs. All students are eligible for this award. Publicize these initiatives in your departments and colleges, post announcements on your department and college websites, and link to the information below regarding the application process and deadlines.
