URI Feinstein Providence Campus Presents
THE MOST MASSIVE WOMAN WINS
by Madeleine George
A play that tells the stories of four women who are battling society's stock image of physical beauty as they await liposuction surgery. Both humorous and poignant, MASSIVE asks every woman the question, "How far are you willing to go to achieve the 'ideal' body image?"
The play is the premiere performance by LaVoce: Theatre That Speaks, a theatre company committed to giving a voice to works that promote social change by creating dialogue.
Patricia Hawkridge, MFA, is Artistic Director of the theatre company. The play is directed by Julie Rackauskas and performed by Kira Hawkridge; Kaitlyn Hurley; Mary Beth Luzitano; Jackie Marchetti.
