Talk to Your Advisor about Registration and Scholarship Eligibility
Registration for the summer opens February 23, and fall of 2009 is just a few weeks away. Now is the time to meet with your academic advisor. Your advisor can review your plan of study, helping you to determine the courses you need and that best fit your specific interests, goals, and/or schedule.
Undecided? Talk to your advisor about your interests, experience, personal responsibilities, professional goals, and aspirations. Together we can discuss ways to explore different majors and career options to determine which is right for you. By meeting with your advisor, you can also save time and money. Your advisor can assist you with course selection, minimizing your risk of duplicating required courses or taking courses that are not part of your plan of study.
Scholarship applicants are especially urged to see an advisor. You must follow certain guidelines for eligibility, and your advisor can help!
The office of advising can assist you with:
- Choosing or changing a major
- Selecting courses
- Prepare and review your degree audit/academic plan
- Referrals for tutoring and writing assistance
- Transfer Credit
- Second Grade Option
- Adding or Dropping courses
- Re-admission, Leave of absence, or Withdrawal
