Salary increases can be granted in recognition of exceptional performance in order to retain valuable faculty members.
Funds are available to support the ranks of Assistant, Associate and Full Professor for faculty development and the support of professional activities. There is a $300 limit per Fiscal Year. Please allow two weeks for your request to be processed.
The URI Honorary Degree Committee will be seeking names of individuals who have distinguished themselves through important contributions to the University, to the State of Rhode Island, or to the nation - individuals who deserve to be honored by the University and who will bring honor to the University by accepting a URI degree.
The purpose of this part-time option is to provide faculty members at the University of Rhode Island with the opportunity to reduce their commitments and responsibilities to part-time during the academic year for a limited number of years prior to their desired retirement.
The University is now accepting 2011-2012 Promotion and Tenure proposals.
The University is now accepting and reviewing Sabbatical Leave applications for the 2011-2012 academic year. One hard copy and one electronic copy must be submitted.
