Working the Room
Move-In Day, September, 2010

New roommates Gabrielle Faiella ’14 of Marlton, N.J. and Maura Bradley ’14 of Auburn, N.Y. begin the work of setting up their triple in Weldin Hall while waiting for their roommate, Alexis Thoma ’14 of Wallingford, Conn. to arrive.
And how’d the room turn out? Three times more cozy, comfy and bright than when they started! Here, Alexis, Gabrielle and Maura enjoy some down time in their room.

Looks a tad crowded! I remember Weldin being a building of double rooms. Did renovation enlarge the living spaces?
--Posted: October 14th, 2010 at 6:08 pmI knew that photo looked familiar! They’re still tripling in Weldin Hall?! How I remember squeezing into one dorm room with my two new roommates, freshman year. Fortunately for us in the class of 1977, we were probably far more used to sharing rooms than this generation is!
--Posted: October 15th, 2010 at 2:07 pmMany years ago I lived in a double at Bressler Hall. It was about the time bunkbeds where introduced. What a change 25 years makes!
--Posted: October 19th, 2010 at 6:08 pmI had the BEST ROOMMATE in the world. .. she was rock-n-roll & I was preppy. . . we met in ’81 and graduated in ’85. Till this day she is the “sister of my heart”. . .25 years after graduation. .. that means we’ve know one another 29 years. . .WOW. . .and to think it all began at URI. . .3 years living in Browning and Senior year “down the line”!!
