RAM Computers is a self-maintainer, so while you're taking classes, you have the convenience of letting us manage your warranty claims for you. What do limited hardware warranties cover?
- Phone support for hardware incidents.
- Online support for hardware incidents.
- On-site and/or depot service after diagnosis via phone or remotely online.
- Covers defects in materials and workmanship of the computer.
What is not covered by limited hardware warranties?
- Software, including the operating system, third-party software, or the reloading of software2
- Products and accessories
branded through a company other than the vendor whom you purchased your computer from.
- Problems that result from:
External causes such as accident, abuse, misuse, or problems with electrical power
Servicing not authorized by the vendor that is not in accordance with product instructions
Failure to follow the product instructions or failure to perform preventive maintenance
Problems caused by using accessories, parts, or components not supplied by the vendor
- Products with missing or altered Service Tags or serial numbers
- Normal wear and tear and cosmetic damages that do not effect the system's functionality
Accidental Damage Protection(ADP)
Accidental Damage Service is a separate service agreement that picks
up where the Limited Warranty leaves off, to cover most accidental damage such as spills, drops, surges and breakages. This type of protection is available through Dell, HP, and Lenovo is and additional service available when you purchase your computer. Currently, Apple does not have any form of ADP. Third party companies like Safeware can provide this type of protection.

Computer tracking software may enable you to locate your computer if it is lost or stolen. The software is optional and may be purchased when you order your computer, or you can contact your sales representative for information about this security feature.
