On-Campus Warranty Service

RAM Computers is the URI Warranty Service Center for Apple, IBM, HP and Dell computers. As a Dell certified self-maintainer we are only authorized to perform warranty service on Dell computers purchased through our store or by the University of Rhode Island.

No Touch Warranty Service: Included with Every Rhody Ready System We Sell!

If you purchased a Rhody Ready system from RAM Computers that is still covered under its manufacturer's warranty, you may register for our exclusive "No-Touch Warranty" service. This is the highest level of computer service and support available to URI students. No Touch Warranty service includes unlimited same-day on-site service and access to loaner machines if your system is down due to a hardware problem. The first school year's worth of service is included in the purchase price of your Rhody Ready computer; renew for just $89 per school year after that for the duration of the manufacturer's warranty!

Accidental Damage Warranties

Accidental damage warranties are available on any new Apple, Dell, HP and IBM laptop we sell. The normal warranty covers the cost of defective parts and labor, but not the kind of damage often inflicted in compact dorm rooms: drinks spilled in the keyboard, laptop screens closed on pens and cracked, discs jammed into the drive, etc. The accidental warranty will cover the entire cost of almost any hardware repair for less than $1 a week. Over 97% of the computers purchased last year included this warranty. During the first week of school alone, 12 of those computers needed repairs for accidental damage.

RAM Computers has affordable service pricing available for students, faculty, staff, and departments. If your computer does not have a valid manufacturer's warranty, don't worry! We specialize in out-of-warranty service for the systems that we sell and can repair just about any computer problem you may have.
