The Department of Recreational Services contributes to the academic mission of the University and enhances the quality of campus life by providing a student-centered environment and experiential opportunities which foster healthy, active lifestyles through involvement in and/or use of recreational facilities, programs and services. Supporting the values of student success, our program strives to promote integrity, responsibility and leadership skills while maintaining a balance between physical, emotional & social growth of individuals.

Our comprehensive program offerings include informal recreation, intramural sports, fitness and wellness, aquatics, club sports and sailing opportunities. Our professional staff is committed to expanding and developing quality programs, services and recreational facilities to meet the needs for all members of a diverse university community which will help engage students to inspire, develop and enjoy lifelong patterns of wellness and fitness activities.

Beginning Friday, May 25th at 3:00 p.m. through Monday, May 28th the Mackal-Keaney-Tootell Complex will be CLOSED due to Memorial Day weekend.

Please call the Rec Hotline at 401/874-4343 for a daily recording of facility hours.

 

NEW POLICY - TOOTELL AQUATIC CENTER SCANNING STATION

 

Beginning on Monday, May 21st 2012, all patrons using the

Tootell Aquatic Center will need to stop at the TAC Scanning Station

on the pool deck and provide a membership ID or daily swim

pass to our Pool Attendant.

 

 

Session 5 Learn to Swim:

Monday, May 21st- Monday, June 25th, 2012

(Classes offered Monday - Friday)

Online Member registration:  Friday, April 20th

In-person Member registration:  Tues., April 24th

Open Registration:  Saturday, May 5th from

       9:00 - 11:00 a.m. in Mackal Lobby.
