Senior Water Exercise

This is a safe non-jarring water aerobics exercise program which improves stamina, strength and flexibility. These programs are designed to meet the needs of individuals over the age of 55 years and older. This class consists of a full-hour of water exercise using a variety of aquatic exercise equipment, music and movements designed to work each muscle and joint.
Session Dates 2011 - 2012:
Session 1: September 19th - October 24th, 2011
Session 2: October 25th - December 2nd, 2011
Winter Intercession: December 5th, 2011- January 20th, 2012
Session 3: January23rd - March 9th, 2012
Session 4: March 19th - May 11th, 2012
Session 5: May 21st - June 25th, 2012
Session 6: June 26th - August 10th, 2012
(Class held 7:00 - 7:55 a.m. or 8:00 - 8:55 a.m.)
(During Winter Intercessions, class times will change during Revised Facility Hours).
Member Fee Options:
$15 per Session/Intercession
Non-Member Fee Options:
Must be a member to participant in program.
Senior Citizen Membership Rates:
TAC Pass Semester (Fall, Spring or Summer): $45
TAC Full year (September - August): $120

Hydroaerobics
Days Times
Mondays / Wednesdays 6:30 - 7:15 p.m.
Tuesdays / Thursdays 12:15 - 1:00 p.m.
This is a fast-paced class which provides a challenging cardiovascular workout. Water provides extra resistance on the muscles, but also reduces the impact of movements on the joints. No swimming skills required. This class can accommodate beginners and advanced participants.

$120 per Session/Intercession (Non-Member)
Registration: Stop by the URI Rec Service Center located in Mackal Lobby. On-line registration is NOT available for this course.
As a benefit of membership, URI Students; Rec Pass and/or TAC Pool members receive discounted rates on many program offerings such as: group fitness classes; learn to swim lessons; certification classes (first-aid, CPR, AED instructional classes); locker and towel service and special events.
