Men's Rowing

The URI Men's Crew team has rich tradition of excellence producing several Olympic and world champion athletes, as well as several of today's top coaches. The team competes primarily in New England against club, and varsity programs. Major regattas include The head of the Charles, the New England Championships, ECAC / NIRC, ACRA's, and the occasional trip over the pond for the Henley Royal Regatta in England. The team rows, and trains on an off campus facility that it manages and has a fleet of Resolute Eights, and Fours.

Welcome to new Head Coach, Bob Gillette

The University of Rhode Island Men's Rowing program is proud to announce the arrival of new head coach, Bob Gillette. He lives locally and is a URI alumnus. He is very familiar with the program as he rowed and coached here in the past. His experience includes coaching members of the US National team and Olympians. We are excited to have him aboard and look forward to enjoying great success with him.
