Ultimate is a sport that requires a good deal of stamina, as there is a lot of running involved. Beyond this requirement, nearly anyone can play. Ultimate is very much a skill sport and players will only improve with time as they learn about the many aspects of the game. Learning the sport takes patience as well as willingness to practice throwing on one's own time.
Ultimate is co-ed, usually played with a ratio of 5 guys and 2 girls on a line (there are 7 on a line, the amount of players a team has on the field at one time). Due to the immense growth the team has seen in the past 2 to 3 years, there is hope that the spring season will allow for the team to compete both co-ed and also as seperate men's and women's teams as circumstances dictate.
The team practices 3 days per week, Mon/Wed/Fri, from 3pm to 6pm (this shifts to 2pm to 5pm after daylight savings time occurs). Tournaments occur about 5 times per semester and usually last two days (always weekends).
