Women's Rugby

The URI Women's Rugby team is gearing up for another exciting season in the the New England Rugby Football Union's (NERFU) Division II. Every season, this team works extremely hard with one goal in mind, making it to Nationals. After winning D-IV Nationals in 2007, and consistently making it to playoffs this team has a winning tradition that they plan to maintain once again come September. The team's most recent accomplishment was coming in second place at the Beast of the East Tournament which is the Nation's largest collegiate tournament!

If you are new to URI and are looking for a club to get involved in, or you played sports in high school and miss the atmosphere and camaraderie only a sports team can provide, please email the club for more information, or better yet, just show up to a practice. Everyone is welcome at anytime, you don't need prior rugby experience to join, in fact 99% of the team has never played rugby before they started at URI.You will not be disappointed.This club prides itself on its hard work and dedication to the world's greatest sport, and the benefits they enjoy on and off the pitch!
