Recreational Sailing Hours
The URI Sailing Center is open to the general public as well as the University community. The annual membership fee for URI students 18 years or older is $100 and for non-students, $150. Members who have qualified for a “Skippers Card” are entitled to unlimited use of the Techs or Flying Juniors during recreational sailing hours at no additional charge.
For racing enthusiasts, club races are held during the summer on Friday evenings from 5:30 to 8:30pm. beginning June 19, 2009. Boats are available on a first-come basis.
FALL 2008
Hours begin Friday, September 5th and
end Sunday, November 9th.

SPRING 2009
Hours begin Friday, March 27th and
end on Sunday, May 17th.

Fees:
$100.00 for URI Students
$150.00 for Non-students.
Please Note:
During weekday hours, sailing
classes have priority use of all boats and
equipment. Spring sailing requires lifejackets and wetsuits are
strongly advised due to cold water temperatures.
All recreational sailing is subject to cancellation
based on current weather conditions.
