Dr. Levesque, Ph.D., is Director of Organizational and Health Behavior
Change Programs for Pro-Change Behavior Systems. She earned a bachelors degree from
Williams College, a masters degrees from Mount Holyoke College, and a doctoral degree in
Clinical Psychology from the University of Rhode Island. She trained with experts on the
Transtheoretical Model as a graduate student and post-doctoral research fellow at the
Cancer Prevention Research Center, and is currently adjunct faculty at URI. With Richard
Gelles, she received a grant from the Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation to fund her
dissertation research assessing domestic offenders readiness to end their violence,
and currently serves as a consultant to the Correctional Service of Canada, which is
integrating TTM concepts into its program for domestic offenders. For Pro-Change, she is
involved in the application of the TTM to several exciting new areas, including
organizational change (e.g., continuous quality improvement, collaborative service
delivery, high performance teams, mergers and acquisitions, and other changes in the
workplace), informed decision-making, and depression prevention. In addition, she is
collaborating with researchers at the CPRC to identify and measure "negative
processes of change" in cigarette smokers.
