Dr. Levesque, Ph.D., is Director of Organizational and Health Behavior Change Programs for Pro-Change Behavior Systems. She earned a bachelors degree from Williams College, a masters degrees from Mount Holyoke College, and a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rhode Island. She trained with experts on the Transtheoretical Model as a graduate student and post-doctoral research fellow at the Cancer Prevention Research Center, and is currently adjunct faculty at URI. With Richard Gelles, she received a grant from the Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation to fund her dissertation research assessing domestic offenders’ readiness to end their violence, and currently serves as a consultant to the Correctional Service of Canada, which is integrating TTM concepts into its program for domestic offenders. For Pro-Change, she is involved in the application of the TTM to several exciting new areas, including organizational change (e.g., continuous quality improvement, collaborative service delivery, high performance teams, mergers and acquisitions, and other changes in the workplace), informed decision-making, and depression prevention. In addition, she is collaborating with researchers at the CPRC to identify and measure "negative processes of change" in cigarette smokers.
