Kerry E. Evers, Ph.D. is Director of Health Behavior Change Projects at Pro-Change Behavior Systems, L.L.C. She received her B.S. from Union College (1994), and both her M.A. (1996) and Ph.D. (1998) in Experimental Psychology from the University of Rhode Island in 1998.

She began her work with the Transtheoretical Model as a research assistant at the Cancer Prevention Research Center in 1994. She has been directly involved in the development of interactive, multimedia expert system interventions for a variety of health behaviors. In addition, she has assisted in the development of study protocols, measurement development, data management and analysis for these intervention programs.

For Pro-Change, she is involved in projects developing interventions for adolescents in a variety of behavioral areas in several European Countries. She is also the Principal Investigator on a Fast Track Small Business Innovative Research Grant developing an expert system intervention for stress management.

In addition to conducting research in the health area, she has been involved in community and service projects, such as teaching and mentoring undergraduate students, involvement with programs such as the Behavioral and Social Science Volunteer Program of APA, and the Community Planning Group for HIV Prevention in Rhode Island.

Her masters thesis was recognized as being the University’s best overall quantitative Master’s Thesis in 1996, and her dissertation, entitled "Quantitative Methods for Assessing Change: Application to Condom Use," received an American Psychological Association Dissertation Research Award. She joined Pro-Change Behavior Systems in March 1997. Her areas of research expertise include health behavior change, health promotion, and HIV prevention, as well as multivariate and longitudinal techniques for data analysis.
