    Doctoral Students

    My most productive, enjoyable and growth periods were working with doctoral students.

    Doctoral education differs for undergraduate and master's level education in a couple of important ways:

    1. The focus of attention in on aspects of the field about which we do not know and how to answer these questions
    2. The doctoral process requires a transition from manager (decison-maker, prescriptive approach) to scholar (researcher, descriptive approach).
    3. It involves the development of theory, rather than theory application.
