S. Bradley Moran, Ph.D., is the Assistant Vice President for Research Administration at the University of Rhode Island.  In this capacity, Dr. Moran’s primary responsibility is to foster research collaboration and other creative scholarly activity across all of the institution’s academic disciplines in support of the research mission of the University.  As part of the Research Administration team, he also provides leadership and direct oversight of general research administration, including the Office of Research Development and the Office of Sponsored Projects Review.

Dr. Moran is also Professor of Oceanography at the Graduate School of Oceanography and oversees an active research program in ocean carbon dynamics, Arctic oceanography, coastal groundwater transport, and environmental radioactivity.  He recently initiated the development of the first Masters of Business Administration-Masters of Oceanography (MBA-MO) dual degree, "The Blue MBA", which has the goal of educating future leaders in the strategic management of global change opportunities.
