REMINDER:
Have you printed and read the Grants Guidelines
and Application procedures?
To apply, you must be able to answer affirmatively to the following questions
and follow the steps outlined below.
Project Eligibility
- Are
one or more humanities disciplines adequately and imaginatively represented
in the prospective project?
- Are
humanities scholars an integral part of both the planning and the
implementation of the proposed project?
- Does
the project enlist wide participation by the general public or show
the potential to have a public impact?
- Does
the proposed project include plans for publicity to ensure an adequate
audience? Approximately 15% of the amount requested from RICH must
be allocated to publicity.
- Does
the proposed project have a clear plan for independent evaluation?
- Is
the applicant affiliated with or sponsored by a non-profit 501(c)
organization? (RICH can assist individuals in finding an appropriate
sponsor.)
- Does
the proposed project at least match the funds requested from RICH?
This match may be either cash or through in-kind donations of space,
personnel, etc. Federal guidelines and RICH policies, however, do
not provide funding for private research, scholarships, performances,
restoration or construction work and equipment purchases.
