The Rhode Island Language Summit

The Rhode Island Language Summit is an invitation-only working summit of stakeholders from business, government, and education in Rhode Island designed to assess the present and future need for language and cultural skills in our workforce. Following the Summit working groups will meet in early 2012 to develop a Rhode Island Language Roadmap for Language Excellence, or strategic plan for language education in the state, which will help us to shape Rhode Island's competitive workforce domestically and globally.
The University of Rhode Island research team has put together a report to inform Rhode Island Language Summit participants about the preliminary findings on language needs of the state. Participants are asked to read through the report prior to December 7.
