Research
What kind of research opportunities are there?

As an animal science student, you’ll have many opportunities to engage in ongoing research projects within the department and college. You can either participate in research in conjunction with an AVS Special Projects course, AVS 491/492, or gain experience by doing research through the CELS Coastal Fellows program. Either one of these options allows you to become part of a research team that can include faculty, outreach staff, post-doctorate fellows, and graduate students.

If you choose the Coastal Fellows Program, you’ll work on a portion of a research project and follow it through to completion. This research experience culminates in a Poster Symposium where students present the results of their research.
