Catalog Description: Critical survey of the major theories of personality. Emphasis will be placed on the "normal" personality.

This course requires the student to be an active participant in learning. Pedagogical methods include lecture, discussion, audiovisuals, group exercises and activities. Students must demonstrate both their theoretical knowledge of the content via the course exams three short papers.

PSY 235 meets the Psychology major requirement to take two of the following three courses: PSY 232, PSY 235, and PSY 254. This course will provide the student with insight to the complex work of personality theory. The student will review various theories of personality. It is a prerequisite for PSY 464.
