Study Away
Where can I go?

Study abroad is an exciting way to learn about a different culture while completing course credit toward your degree. A semester abroad can easily fit into the Psychology BA degree. URI offers students the opportunity to study with more than 200 affiliated study programs in over 40 different countries. When planning your study abroad it is important to determine in advance how the courses you take at the affiliated study program will transfer to URI. To do so, you will obtain prior approval for your courses.

Information about Prior Approval of Psychology Courses

  1. Obtain the Study Abroad Prior Approval Form from the Office of International Education in the URI International Center at 37 Lower College Road or download from this link: Study Abroad Prior Approval Form
  2. Complete the form.
  3. Print out descriptions of psychology courses.
  4. Drop off the form and course descriptions in the Department of Psychology office in Chafee 306.
  5. The Department Chair will sign your form and you can pick it up, usually the next day.
