Giving to Student Affairs

As a graduate or friend of The University of Rhode Island, you have helped us establish the outstanding reputation we enjoy today.  Whether you worked as a Resident Assistant, Tour Guide, Peer Mentor, or Orientation Leader, held a leadership position in one of our many student organizations, or perhaps participated in intramural, recreation, club, or intercollegiate sports, you were involved with the Division of Student Affairs at URI.  The URI Division of Student Affairs prides itself on providing activities and programs that support students both in and out of the classroom.  We hope that you will consider helping us fund those familiar Student Affairs programs and services that you have known and enjoyed, as well as the many new initiatives that emerge each year.

The Fran and Joel Cohen Student Affairs Fund for Excellence is a permanent endowment established to enhance student learning through involvement, leadership service, and research both in and outside the classroom.  Gifts can be earmarked for specific student groups, fraternities and sororities, multicultural student groups, Student Affairs departments, student leadership programs, or any other of the many outstanding student organizations and support programs at URI.

Thank you for considering giving to the URI Division of Student Affairs.  Your generous gift will make a difference.

Students First Fund
Through the Division of Student Affairs, the Students First Fund assists URI students by providing immediate financial support when they need assistance with unexpected emergency expenses surrounding situations such as accidents, illness, death of a family member, fire damage or need for temporary housing. Students may request assistance when they have exhausted all other resources.
