SPOTLIGHT ON ALPHA CHI OMEGA:
The sisters of the Gamma Sigma chapter welcome you to the University of Rhode Island's Recruitment. As faithful members of Alpha Chi Omega we strive to maintain our founding credentials: leadership, scholarship, friendships, service, and finance.
The sisters of Alpha Chi Omega serve the URI and surrounding community in various ways. As leaders, we uphold positions not only in our chapter, but in multiple student organizations such as Student Senate, New Student Programming, URI 101 Mentoring, and Greek 101 Mentoring. We also take pride in supporting our nation philanthropy - working diligently to promote awareness of domestic violence, and supporting women who have been victims of domestic abuse. This past semester we organized a domestic violence awareness walk which raised over $2,050 for a local women's shelter.
Along with our commitment to our studies and philanthropic events, we emphasize the importance of bonding through fun sisterhood events; including movie night, martial arts classes, yoga classes, and a "destroying denim" party. Here at Alpha Chi Omega we are more than just best friends - we really are sisters. In our home, there will always be someone to share a laugh with, as well as a shoulder to cry on when needed. Alpha Chi Omega has created an unbreakable bond between us and we are excited for you to see and feel the love within our home.
Best of luck during Recruitment!
