Spotlight on Phi Sigma Sigma:
We pride ourselves on being a chapter of individuals united together by the bonds of sisterhood as well as friendship. Our sisters are involved in several clubs and activities, such as the Student Entertainment Committee, SAA, Hillel, URI Dance Company, as well as URI 101 mentors and tour guides. Academic excellence is also a priority of Phi Sigma Sigma with many of our sisters being inducted into the Order of Omega and Golden Key honor societies each year.
As a philanthropic organization, we are dedicated to raising funds our philanthorpies the National Kidney Foundation and the Jennifer Direeno Memorial Scholarship fund. We hold a battle of the sexes coin drive, car washes, and a biannual Rock-A-Thon to raise money for these causes.
Phi Sigs love to have fun too! While academics and philanthropic endeavors are important, we also like to involve ourselves in the social community here on campus. Every fall and spring we hold a Sapphire Ball, as well as a moonlight cruise, with many socials in between! Whether out at a social or just a night on the town, Phi Sig's show their spirit in all that they do! "Having a sister is like having a best friend you can't get rid of. You know whatever you do, they'll still be there"
