United Ministry At URI is a joint ministry of many protestant denominations funded by the Rhode Island State Council of Churches. We believe that the spiritual life is not opposed to learning and knowledge, but that it provides a broader context in which to give them meaning.

We also believe religion must involve serious and open reflection, rather than blind faith. Thus we provide opportunities for the spiritual, intellectual and moral development of those whom we serve.

We offer:
--Conversation/counseling (drop in or by appointment)
--The Listening Post (a place to talk about anything) Thursday 10.00 A.M. - 2.00 P.M Memorial Union
--Volunteer opportunities (e.g., Habitat for Humanity)
--Educational opportunities (topical studies, lectures, etc.)
--Special Programs (call for current offerings)
--Religious Services (see worship schedule below)
