Event Description: Ceisiwr Serith will be giving
a presentation on Pagan Reconstructionism. It will include an
introduction to modern Paganism and the place of Wicca within
it before concentrating on the history, beliefs, and practices
of Reconstructionism.
Ceisiwr Serith is the author of The Pagan Family and the forthcoming
book Gifts to the Gods: A Book of Pagan Prayers and Offerings,
as well as a number of articles published in such Pagan magazines
as Circle Network News, Enchante, Druids' Progress, and Oak Leaves.
He has given presentations on a number of topics at Pagan gatherins,
and presented a paper entitled "Cernunnos: Iconography and
Ideology" at last year's UCLA Celtic Conference. A Pagan
for over twenty-five years, he has been involved in Reconstructionism
for the last ten years. He belongs to the Pan-Indo-European organization
Ar nDriaocht Fein, and is helping to organize a grove, Nemos
Ognios (http://www.geocities.com/nemosognios/)
in the Providence area. Currently, he is working on a book about
Proto-Indo-European religion. |
