Hey guys, not too much to report this week,

No meeting on 4/14/04- we're going fishing! Meet on campus at 4:00 at woodward hall. There should be enough cars for people who need rides. Be prepared to get wet/dirty/etc, cuz we will be outdoors. We plan on having a fire, which means smores and hotdogs. Feel free to bring friends! And food too! Last week we passed out a sign up sheet, but if you werent there, and are going, feel free to bring some food, im sure we could always use extra. Or, if you can get something that Kevin is signed up to get (cuz hes signed up like 5 times), send me an email and I'll let him know that he doesnt need to pick that up. The list and directions are at the bottom of this email. If its raining, we probably wont be going... I dont know what we will be doing as far as rescheduling, but keep an eye out on wed for an email... If we arent going, I'll definately send one out by 3'oclock at the latest.

We will be voting for officer positions on 4/21/04. If you have any nominations, feel free to send them to me in an email.

Block Party- 4/27/04
We are almost definately planning on doing the dunk tank, we are just working out the details now. We already have 4 definate "victims" and another 3 "maybies". We only need a few more, so get out there and ask your professors! We'll also need people to work the booth, so hopefully you have time between classes that you can stop by, or a class that can be skipped. We'll be doing sign ups in the next few weeks.

Directions: From campus, get on 138 heading west. Go under Rt 95, and to the first set of lights. Go through the lights, and then take the next right onto Bridge Road. Bridge Road becomes Arcadia Rd. Go about 1.5mi, pass over a bridge, keep going. You'll see the DEM Forestry Headquarters on your left. Take the next left after this, it will be a dirt driveway, #274 (the number is on a whale on a tree). There are 2 driveways here, make sure you take the left one. Go about .2 mi, the driveway splits- go to the left, down the hill toward the water. Jeff will probably be there before we get there. If you get lost, or have trouble finding the place, you can call Jeff at 243-5123.

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been slacking so much lately.... ok, here's a quick rundown on whats going on:
~Next week-4/14/04- We will be going fishing. We are going to meet on campus at 4:00pm, and then head over to the fishing area. We plan to have a campfire, cook hotdogs, marshmallows, etc. If you are planning on going, please let us know at this weeks meeting (4/7/04) what you are planning to bring. Feel free to bring friends along! If you need a ride, it shouldnt be a problem, as we're already planning on meeting on campus. We should have directions available by next week, at the latest.
~Block Party- 4/27/04- 11am-3pm. We need ideas! We are seriously considering doing a dunk tank... this will run around $200. We need to find teachers to be victims, so ask yours if you can. We also need to find a decent "cause" to donate the money to... right now we are considering the RI Shellfishermans Association. If you know of any others, let us know. We will also need people to work the booth on that day, so start planning ahead.
~We are considering having another recruitment/movie night on the 28th- the day after the block party. This way we can use the block party for advertisement.
~We are also looking into have Dr. Kenney come to speak to us about whales. Right now we are looking at the meeting on the 21st. We just have to wait for him to get back to us on if thats going to be ok.

One more thing, and very important! We had planned to do voting for next year on the 21st... this is not going to work, because the president's signature card needs to be handed in ON the 21st. We will very possibly be doing voting this week, as we will not be having a formal meeting next week. Please come to the meeting prepared for this! Start thinking of who you would like to nominate and or vote for. Thanks a bunch!
