MSS Minutes (9/21/04)

Hey everyone, welcome back! We had our first meeting last week. The turnout was rather poor, but we discussed quite a bit. To start off with, we're going to try (yes again) to do a whale watch. Right now we're leaning toward October 23, the boat leaves boston at 10 am. I'll keep you updated as the planning continues. We also want to do a beach clean up. Everyone has been disgusted lately at how messy Black Point has been, so I think we'll be going there. Date and time to be discussed at this weeks meeting.

Also last week was the organization fair. We got quite a few signatures, so hopefully we'll have a decent turn out of new people this week. Part of what was drawing people to our table (other than our sparkling personalities, of course) was the promise of getting free movie passes to an advanced screening of the movie Shark Tale. If you werent at the meeting last week and went "what?", yes, you read that correctly. Come to the meeting this week, and you can get a free pass to an advanced screening of Shark Tale. Of course, if too many people show up, we're going to do a raffle system to give them out, but we really dont see that being a problem.

The movie will be playing at the Warwick Mall movie theater on Thursday, Sept 30 at 7:00. This is the only time that the tickets are good for, so we have to plan around that. We're hoping to get a bunch of us together and go together. We havent yet decided what time to leave, but probably by 6 at the latest. We'll discuss this some more at our next meeting.

Our next meeting will be tomorrow, Tuesday Sept 28 at 7:00pm in Woodward Hall Student Lounge. If you want your pass, BE THERE.

If this is your first time recieving something from us, we probably got your name at the organization fair. If you dont wish to continue to recieve these emails, please let me know by replying to this email asap, and I will remove you from the mailing list.

And I hate to do this, but I still have some more bookkeeping stuff to go through... Thank you to everyone who has already replied to let me know that they want to stay on the list. Unfortunately, we still have quite a few people who have not yet replied. If you did not send me an email in the past few weeks letting me know who you are, what your major and estimated year of graduation are, and that you do in fact want to remain on our list, please do so now. This goes for anyone new as well. This is just to let me know that you are infact getting these emails, and that you do want to stay on our list. Thank you all very much, I hope to have all of this settled within the next few weeks.
