Meetings

Minutes: April 7th

Hey Outing Club, Whats shakin? Here's the deal

-We had elections at this past meeting and the new officers are as follows: The part of the treasurer shall be played by Joe Attwater. Making his debut appearance as the Public Relations officer is William Masse. Corey Morrissey will once again be playing the Gear Master, and I will also be returning as the Vice President. The leading lady will be played by none other than Bridget Griffith. Thanks for all of those who showed up and ran/voted.

- Africa Week is the 20th through the 24th. More info on that to come...

- OK, so this is kind of exciting. The sailing club is hosting a sailing race and has opened the opportunity to the outing club. They will be teaching us how to sail and also allow us to participate in the regatta. All those that are interested should let us know so we can get back to the sailing club

- We brainstormed some ideas for a large scale event for the fall and we came up with a campus wide camping trip on the quad. Possibly some sort of rock wall and movie could accompany this camping extravaganza. Let us know if you have any ideas or suggestions.

- Remember that the Block Party is the 15th. We will be having a booth so try and make a spot in your schedule that you can drop on by. We will be having sign ups for time slots at the meeting on the 14th.

- Earth Day is fast approaching. If you want to have a team for the cook off, let us know so we can start arranging the event. So far we have about 3 or 4 teams. Also, if you want to bring some sort of ingredient for trail mix that we will be selling, go for it. So far people are bringing Cheerios, Raisins, PB M&M's, Nuts, Granola... Bring stuff you think would taste good in a trail mix.

- April 25th is the Farm Olympics hosted by AVS. We don't know much about the events yet except that there is some sort of grain eating contest... Teams are 4-5 people and we need at least 2 girls on each team. Its happening, be there.

- As the weather becomes nicer, we plan on going to Lincoln woods for bouldering and climbing at the rock gym after. I think this might be happening on the 19th?? Correct me if I'm wrong.

- Once again, the Adirondack trip for the end of the summer is scheduled for September 1st to the 7th. Come along if you dare.

- If you are a commuter and you love the planet (and subway) check out this event http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/event.php?eid=61336909937 You can win an Ipod for carpooling. cool huh?

-Also if you love the earth and me, there will be a pre earth day campus cleanup on the 18th. You should go because the campus look like poop lately. Seriously, there was a nasty pipe leak by Swan Hall and toilet paper, and all the stuff that goes with it was running down the hill. It was gross, just ask Charleve.

- This Saturday in the Eddy kitchen, we will be making Festive Ova by coloring them fancy colors with natural dyes. Then we shall hide them and find them again and maybe even eat them. If this sounds like your idea of a good time. Come to Eddy hall kitchen at 11 AM this Saturday.

yeah...
