Minutes: February 10th
Hey there you bunch of attractive people,
Last nights meeting was full of stuff so listen up and listen good!
-After a group vote, the club decided on green shirts with possibly a brown logo (on organic cotton of course). We also decided on stickers that you can wear on your chest if you want.
-Calendars are being made again. Email us ASAP if you want one and bring your 10 dollars to the office by the end of the week.
-We have instituted a "Trip Log" that simply states Who, What, When, blablabla... that will be filled out and filed in the office for future reference.
-We found out we got screwed with the ice climbing thing. It turns out it costs $70 per person and they only have gear for 6 people. If you still want to go let us know and we'll be informing you of any price changes.
-HOLY CRAP punch passes are goin fast!!! We have less than 50 left so we are limiting the passes to one per person per week in order to make this supply last.
- Bridget kicked off the workshop series with a great workshop on staying warm while camping in the winter. Next week right after the meeting Megan Banner will be doing a first aid workshop so go to that. yeah. I'll be there.
-Megan Banner is also leading a skiing trip to Yawgoog on Saturday. She does have some comp. passes so if you are interested drop her a line. You can drop her a line if you are not interested too. Just to say hi and stuff. I'm sure she'd like that. Megan_Banner@mail.uri.edu. She is meeting people at ronzios at 3 on saturday.
-VOTE FOR PEOPLE FOR STUDENT SENATE ie. JOE PULEO AND DAVID COATES (idk if this happened already or not)
-Slacklining and Buildering now that its getting warmer... keep an eye out. It generally happens near the quad and on Lippit.
-Ever notice that Rhode Island is not really an island?? well on the 7th and 8th of March, we will be going to Block Island, and that ACTUALLY IS an island. Mountain Bikes are encouraged.
- Tyler Ferrara is interested in starting a URI bouldering team. It costs $15 to register and $15 per competition. Its cool cause you can suck and still do it. Im doin it. There is a Comp coming up on March 13th at the rock spot and is sponsered by RISD. Talk to Tyler if you're interested. tylerjferrara@gmail.com
- Charleve and Kerry also puting together an Outing Club team for the spelling bee that is a fundraiser for "Alternative Spring Break" do it for the children. Email Charleve if you want to be on the team. charleve_carey@mail.uri.edu. Thanks Kelsey Molloy and Jimmy. You are my heros.
