Meetings

Minutes: March 3rd

In the Beginning, God created the outing club, and he said..."cool".

-First of all, Happy Birthday Megan Banner. Congrats, you are old.

-There are 2 Block Island trips happening this weekend. One on Saturday and one On Sunday. If you are interested in either day, show up to ronzios at 10 am so we can car pool to the Ferry. We will be taking the 11 AM ferry to the island and most likely returning on the 5:15 Ferry. The cost is about $21 per person and an additional $6 and change for a bike. (We may end up paying for a car pass and taking a car load cause its cheaper?) We will be having some sort of warm lunch on the island. Outing club will be bringing food and dividing up the cost. Or you can just bring something of your own to make. Tea will be served as well.

-People are going to the RI rock gym on Friday night. If you're interested and need a ride, send us an Email so we can work out a carpool.

(Bouldering team people, keep in mind that the comp is the 13th. Register if you haven't!!)

- The T-shirts are in, so get your money in and you can come get a shirt. They're sweet. Do it.

- People have any plans over spring break? Will Masse is all that is Mountain Bikes, tell your friends. How about Lincoln Woods?

- April 22!!! Put it on you calendars cause we will be having a booth at the earth day event on the quad. There will be another iron chef competition so if you're interested, make a team and let us know so we can cook up a storm. We may also be selling trail mix and dehydrated fruit. If you have any other ideas let us know.

- Next weeks workshop is "Outdoor cooking" with our very own Bridget Griffith. YAY!!

-if you want to know about all our events and stuff, request to be added to the outing club google calendar. Im not sure how it works, but someone else can tell you I'm sure.

- If anyone is interested in hitting up Carabiners (a kick ass rock gym in Mass) contact Frank at frankieadu2@mail.uri.edu. Its college night apparently!!

-Lastly, we have some tentative dates for Monadnock (April 4th) and Cannoeing on Squam Lake (April 24th) let us know if you're interested in these trips on these dates.

Will Masse's thought of the Week: "Sometimes, less is more. Kinda like Slegpants Larmapan or Toilette paper"

peace
