Minutes: September 15th
So, last night was our fist meeting, here's a brief overview of what went down.
-So first of all, this is the outing club. We do stuff like hiking, camping, canoeing, kayaking, climbing, get the picture? cool. We have meetings once a week on Tuesdays at 5:30 in room 318 in the Union. Meetings are a time to plan upcoming events and to relay to the group how previous events went. They're fun. I enjoy them. If you can't make the meeting times but still want to be in the club, we send out the minutes from each meeting in an email so you can stay up to date with events you may be interested in.
-If you have any specific questions you want to ask one of the officers feel free to email us or come to our office hours in room 346 of the Union. Its a pretty dope office. It's got a comfy couch thing, and sometimes we eat snacks.
- Bridget (the president): Wed 8:00-10:00
- Ben (the vice president): Mon, 1:00- 3:00
- Joe (the treasurer): Fri 11:00-1:00
- To officially be in the outing club, you have to pay dues. Dues are $15 for the first semester and will give you free access to rentals of all the awesome shit the Outing Club has. (ie. tents, sleeping bags, climbing gear)
- Paying your dues also allows you to purchase punch passes for the RI Rock Gym; an approximately 25 dollar value for just 2 bucks PER TRIP!! I know I know, its awesome. (gear rentals and a belaying lesson are included with the pass. No experience required)
- T-shirts, anyone want one? 5$ (just make sure to pay your dues first)
- This Saturday into Sunday we are going on our first camping trip of the season to Arcadia. It's going to be pretty laid back so first timers can see what they're getting themselves into. There's gonna be good food, slacklining, instrumenting, sitting, maybe some wine? Please send an e-mail if you are interested in this trip so we know how much food to get. Also, in that email, let us know if you need any gear or have any dietary needs (that means you lac-tards). We're going to meet at noon at Ronzios (basement of the Union), and be back around the same time on Sunday. Bring a couple of bucks for food.
- Saturday the 26th will be a day trip to Block Island. If you've never been, you should, its pretty... more details to come.
- Any body want to climb Mt Washington with Tyler? possibly in October before the weather gets too bad. cool
- If you are interested in going to the Rock Gym, you can either meet at the Gym in Lincoln around 8 or if you need a ride, a carpool will be meeting at Ronzios around 6:30. Please remember to pick up a pass during our office hours before you go!!

- Any body know any good Mountain Biking trails (Will?)
