About Us

The URI Philosopher's Club was formed in the fall of 1999 with the intention of bringing together individuals for the exciting engagement of philosophy on a wide variety of topics. The club usually holds a weekly discussion meeting open to students of all majors, on a topic selected by the club members. The meetings usually have a regular attendance of around ten to fifteen people during the school year and in addition to discussion meetings the club has also organized field trips to attend lectures.
