Mission

The Senate shall be the representative student government of the University of Rhode Island, deriving its power and legitimacy from the consent of the governed. The Senate remains a separate and distinct entity from the University of Rhode Island and all underlying affiliates. As the representative voice of the undergraduate student body of the University of Rhode Island, the Senate shall be obligated to discuss any matters brought before the Senate by a member of the URI community that affect students directly or indirectly as students or as citizens. The Senate shall have power to establish, recognize and promote educational, social and cultural activities for the enhancement of student life.

• Feb. 5 Budget Paperwork Request Forms Due
• Feb. 9 First Recommendations sent to Groups
• Feb. 15 Happy/Not Happy Forms due back from Groups to the Student Senate office
• Feb. 22 and Mar. 1 Finance Meetings for 2nd recommendations
• Mar. 10 Annual Budget Meeting - Student Senate Meeting 6:30 pm
