Description: The purpose of this organization shall be to strengthen the University of Rhode Island’s ties with the African Continent; to place Africa under a positive light for all who work and study at the university and community, thus vanquishing all fallacies about the continent; to unite the African population and promote harmony amongst every other ethnic group within the University of Rhode Island, and to inspire a tender compassion within everyone towards the issues affecting the continent and her people on the social, political, cultural, educational and economical scales through the implementation of outreach programs, community service, artistic, social and educational functions.
