Description: The purpose of Fashion Merchandising Society is to create a community of students with a shared interest in fashion. Together we discuss current issues in the fashion industry, explore the possibilities in fashion related internship and study abroad options at URI and encourage each other in importance of communication through dress.
Members are asked to join one of three committees to stay involved throughout the year:
Fundraising: creates items to sell and raises money throughout the semester to fund social events and our Spring fashion show
Social: organizes social events within the club and with the URI community
Public Relations: advertises FMS events on campus and around Rhode Island. Great experience if you are interested in graphic design or journalism.
FMS produces URI's annual spring fashion show. It is 100% student run, and you can get involved in design, advertising, set design, and many other aspects of production.
