Resources

All right, here's a few web sites that actually evaluate and rank universities and colleges in the US. I've also given you a little description of what info each site has.

US News & World Reports: America's Best Colleges The USNWR site ranks schools, lets you search for a certain school, and has a tool to let you compare schools. This site is updated every year. I used this site for my college search, and I would recommend it.
College Bound Network The College Bound site not only has info on colleges, it also has links for scholarship sites, career training information, and some non-college related sites that would be interesting for teens.
GoCollege.com GoCollege.com is more geared toward people who have at least an idea of a major, but it does also have financial aide information, plus lists of distance learning courses and SAT/ACT dates and tips.
collegeboard.com Collegeboard is actually the company that issues the SATs, ACTs, and all those fun standardized tests. But besides the tests, the site also has tips for your college search, online applications to colleges, and scholarship info.

If you're more interested in studying outside the US, here is a site that can help you find the right study-abroad program:

Study Abroad.com

These are just a few of the many sites out there to help you find the perfect college. And even though this seems like a huge life-altering decision, just remember, it's not where you go, it's what you do while you're there.
