About Us

Purpose

We, the undergraduate students of the University of Rhode Island, in order to provide an official and representative student government, to investigate student problems and take appropriate action, to provide the official voice through which student opinion may be expressed, to encourage the development of responsible student participation in the overall policy and decision making process of the University community, to foster an awareness of the students' role in the academic community, to enhance the quality and scope of education at the University, to participate in University and faculty committees, and to provide means for responsible and effective participation in the organization of Student Affairs, do ordain and establish the constitution and bylaws for Student Senate of the University of Rhode Island.

Come by and check out the Student Senate Office located on the 2nd floor in room 201 in the Memorial Union. Weekly Senate meetings are held on the 3rd floor in the Senate Chambers.
