The Campus Affairs committee is focused on campus issues such as safety, student rights, parking, on-campus shuttles, disability services, housing and residential life, dining services, and facilities.
Every semester the committee conducts the Safety & Lighting Walk with URI administrators to identify areas which require improvements for the safety of all students, faculty, and staff.
The committee also monitors the on-campus shuttle system (enacted by the Student Senate) and the motorist assistance program to ensure effective and routine service, as well as the campus parking system to address any issues that come up.
CAC is also works on issues relating to disability services and equal opportunity.
Housing and Residential Life, dining services, health services, facilities, and athletics also fall under the Campus Affairs committee.
Campus Affairs' current big project is the Ellery Pond Restoration Project. The committee is working on cleaning up the pond behind Ellery Hall and creating a beautiful place for students to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
