David Coates is a senior political science major and economics minor from North Providence, Rhode Island. He is a Talent Development student and a brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He is the former Academic Affairs Chair for Student Senate and has also served on the Faculty Senate, Academic Standards & Calendar Committee, Student Rights & Responsibilities Committee and IDEAs Committee.

Casey Holden is a junior majoring in nursing. He joined student senate as a freshmen serving as a representative at large. Sophomore year, he became the College of Nursing liaison. Casey has served on the academic affairs and external affairs committee as well as chairman of the bylaws committee. He is currently a voting member of the academic standards and calendars committee for faculty senate. Casey is also a general member of the Student Alumni Association as well as a Nursing Ambassador. He is a URI tour guide and also works at the Tootell Aquatic Center.

Ashley Cordisco is a senior Communications and Public Relations major from Weston, Connecticut. She is currently a member of the Senate Elections committee and is a sister of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Ashley hopes to establish a career in the Public Relations industry and is excited about her position on Student Senate.

Scott Mullin is a senior marketing major and economics minor from Pomfret, Connecticut. He is currently a member of the Senate Elections Committee and has been involved in various university organizations including serving as a Civic Engagement Leader. Scott is passionate about marketing and entrepreneurship and hopes to continue to work with in the startup environment.

Tanya Jones is a junior at the University of Rhode Island from East Greenwich, Rhode Island and currently serves as Secretary of Student Senate. Tanya has been on Senate for the past two years and has also served as past External Affairs Chair and a member of Rules & Ethics She has also been a Resident Academic Mentor and an active peer mentor at University College.

Stephanie Segal is a junior from Lake Ronkonkoma  (Long Island) New York. She is a Textile, Fashion Merchandising and Design major and a Political Science major with a minor in Leadership Studies. Previously on Senate, Stephanie has served as Secretary, Elections Committee Chair, Freshman Representative, and a member of the Academic Affairs and Campus Affairs committees. Stephanie is also a sister of the Chi Omega sorority.

Hania Zaman is a sophomore from Ontario, Canada majoring in Pharmacy. She joined Student Senate as Freshman Representative and has served on the Cultural Affairs Committee, the Rules and Ethics Committee, and the Senate Scholarship Committee. She is the treasurer of the Muslim Student Association, a member of the pharmacy sorority Lambda Kappa Sigma, and works as a URI tour guide. She has taken an active role in improving Diversity on campus and is serving on the Diversity Funds Committee. Her dream is to travel the world and also hopes to go on to medical school and become a surgeon, working in a 3rd world country.

Jacob Holzman is senior Ocean Engineering and Ocean major and Coastal Policy and Management minor.  He has served on the Finance, SOARC, Academic, Campus Affairs, Bylaws, Student Rights and Responsibilities, and Rules and Ethics Committees.  During his third term, he was appointed to be the first Chief Information Officer.  Additionally, he serves on the executive boards of Zeta Beta Tau and Hillel

Alexa Roy is a Communications Studies major with English and Spanish minors. She is native of Smithfield, RI and this is her second term on the Student Senate. She serves on the Conduct Appeals Board, Academic Advising Steering Committee and works at the University Library. Upon graduation, she will be enrolling in the Graduate Degree Program in Library Sciences.

Chris Caisse is a Junior studying Resource Economics. He is from Barrington, RI and a member of the URI Men's Crew Team. He has served on the Students Rights and Responsibilities Committee, Student Affairs, University Bylaws and Manual Committee, Student Senate Rules and Ethics and Campus Affairs. Chris also has his own radio show on WRIU.

Christine Juhr is a Junior from North Smithfield, Rhode Island. She is majoring in Animal & Veterinary Science on the pre-vet track. She hopes to one day attend vet school and specialize in large animal medicine. Chrissy has served on Student Senate for the past two years since enrolling at URI as a Freshman. She has served mainly on the Campus Affairs Committee but has also served on the Cultural and Finance Committees. This past year she was the Vice Chair of the Campus Affairs Committee. Chrissy is also a member of the AVS club and is a chaser on URI’s Quidditch team, the Rhody Ridgebacks.

Brittany Ferreira is a junior studying Clinical Laboratory Science. Brittany is from the small town of North
Smithfield, RI. She has been a member of the Student Senate since Fall 2009, since then she has
participated in Cultural Affairs, Elections Committee, and Senior Speaker Committee. Brittany is also a
resident advisor for Dorr Hall.
