Jacob Tyler Lanoie just call me Jake! I am the External Affairs Chairman and I love my job, the great state of Rhode Island, and the beautiful beaches in Rhode Island.  It is true that I have the best committee with the worlds best Vice-Chair! I am a sophomore accounting major from Lincoln, RI.  However I was born and raised in Scottsdale, AZ.  I have been on Senate since I was a freshman.  I have served as a freshmen representative and an on-campus representative.  External Affairs is my favorite committee on Senate and is one of the most important because it deals with everything outside of the university.  On Senate I have done some great things and I plan on doing even more spectacular things as the Chairman of this committee.  Like holding a massive carnival on the quad! My goal as Chairman, is to ensure students that reside off-campus are treated fairly and with respect.  Furthermore, I want to create a better image of URI and its students to the residents of Rhode Island.
