Policies:
Under-enrolled courses will be cancelled prior to the beginning of each summer session (see calendar). If one of your courses is
cancelled, you will be notified and given the option of substituting another course or receiving a full refund. The earlier you register, the fewer
classes have to be cancelled. We advise students to register online in e-Campus. After cancellations, the choice of courses is limited and late
registration is on a space-available basis.
In case of bad weather or other emergency conditions, class cancellations will be announced on radio stations WPRO (630AM), WHJJ
(920AM) WADK (1540AM). WRIU (90.3FM) and WERI (99.3FM) as well as these TV stations: WJAR (10), WLNE (6) and WPRI(12).
Normally the
instructor will arrange a make-up class. Individual class cancellations (due to illness, emergency, etc.) and re-scheduling will be handled by the
instructor of the class.
Summer students may attend either or both campuses and enroll in day or evening courses offered in any summer session. Students expecting to apply summer credits to their degree program are advised to obtain prior approval from their academic dean before registering. Maximum course load is seven credits per summer session including simultaneous courses offered in the alternate session. Exceptions are allowed with written permission of the appropriate academic dean.
Certain courses may be taken on a “Pass/Fail” option. This option is open to matriculated students only. Courses may also be “audited”. Pass/Fail or Audit forms are available during registration. The decision to use these options must be made before the end of the ADD period. For conditions and requirements, refer to the URI Undergraduate Catalog or the CCE Student Handbook.
