Scenes from Summer Session

Current Students:

As a current URI student, you know that there are plenty of reasons to stay for the summer.
It’s a great time to get ahead in your studies or concentrate on one challenging course. You’ll find that Summer Term’s 550 courses include many core requirements, general education, and prerequisite courses that you’ll need to graduate. We have extensive offerings in a variety of subjects, including math, chemistry, psychology, biology, foreign languages, and many more. You will also find the complete minor in business and a range of Online offerings. Summer term also has plenty of summer courses to stimulate your curiosity. You can develop your interest in areas such as communications or writing, or enroll in a film course or the film production workshop.

There are other reasons to stay—“The beaches of Southern Rhode Island” and this summer you can enjoy all of them and also take advantage of the opportunity to check out URI’s new housing option. Traditional summer school students will be assigned to the new Building B in the North Woods Apartments and Suites located on Flag Road. You will be the first group to enjoy living in these brand new apartments and suites. Building B is air-conditioned and consists of 22 beds in apartment style accommodations (having full kitchens and private baths), and 50 beds in suite style accommodations (private bathrooms in each suite with access to a community kitchen on the first floor). Students are provided with internet, telephone and cable TV connections in each room. For more information, click here.
