Infusing Sustainability into the Curriculum at URI
The Infusing Sustainability into the Curriculum Leadership Workshop for faculty is a 2-day workshop designed to bring groups of approximately 25 members of the faculty together to explore ways of integrating sustainability across the curriculum. The workshop is designed to foster creative discussion among colleagues about the variety of ways sustainability is relevant to their disciplines and might fit into their existing or envisioned course syllabi. Participants revised their existing courses, created new courses, or created new modules or projects for their courses.
More than 47,000 people, 9,700 ships and 127 planes spent months mopping up oil released during the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Yet four years later, the tools to fight offshore oil spills remain remarkably rudimentary.
