The Fall 2001 Honors Colloquium,
"A Just and Sustainable Future: Overcoming Barriers to Action,"
was a forum for world leaders in sustainability, providing
lectures, film, art exhibits, symposia, a poetry slam, and poster
contest from September 12 - December 4, 2001. View
the schedule here (PDF format). The only
change in the original program was on December 4, when Oil and Global
Justice, a panel featuring URI economics professor Richard McIntyre,
George DeMartino, associate Professor of International Economics
of the University of Denver, and Fatima Gailani, daughter of an Afghan
spiritual
leader and former ambassador to the National Islamic Front of Afghanistan,
was presented.
