CCRI Transfer Policy

Notice about Deadline

  • TD/CCRI Transfer students should apply by the same deadline as freshmen applicants, please refer to the information on the Apply link on the left menu.

Requirements to Transfer

  • Applicants must earn twenty-four (24)* to thirty (30) transferable credits.

  • Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 2.3
  • * - Students subject to Placement Tests and subsequent required registration in non-transferable CCRI courses in Math, Reading, and Writing must earn eighteen (18) transferable credits.

Upon Talent Development Acceptance

  • Students must successfully complete the preparatory Program (PREP). The PREP Program is held on a Saturday in the spring before students enter the Talent Development Program.

  • Students must successfully complete six-week Pre-Matriculation Program (Pre-Mat). Pre-Mat is held during the summer after students are accepted into Talent Development.

  • During Pre-Mat, students must remain on campus Sunday through Friday during week 1 and Sunday evening through Thursday afternoon weeks 2-6 (weekend housing is NOT available).

  • Students must attend tutorial sessions during Pre-Mat.

  • Students must successfully complete the Pre-Mat Program (Grades of C or higher in ALL courses - credit or non-credit)..

Academic Year

  • Students must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year. The FAFSA identifies the award for the academic year. Financial Aid is based on ELIGIBILITY.

  • Students must live on the Kingston Campus. Students who have dependents, students who are 21 or older, students in their third year, and students who are married are allowed to live off-campus.

  • Students must meet with their assigned Talent Development Academic Advisor each week.

  • Students must remain in good academic standing (cumulative average of 2.00 or higher) to receive the Hardge-Forleo Grant/TD Scholarship.
