Live-in Counselor Positions for Summer 2009
Talent Development is currently seeking qualified applicants for Summer 2009 Live-in Counsellors.
Up to 5 positions are anticipated.
Qualifications
- BA/BS strongly preferred.
- College Senior Status Required (90 credits earned) as of June 2009.
- Experience working with people in counseling, advising, teaching, or supervision preferred.
- Experience working with varied racial and ethnic populations strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Live-in supervision of a group of pre-freshmen during intensive academic pre-matriculation program.
- One-to-one contact and group sessions.
- Establish and maintain structured, supportive residential environment focused on academic success and transition to college for students of color and disadvantaged students.

Dates
- Sunday, June 14, 2009 through Thursday, July 30, 2009
- Week 1: Staff Training and Orientation: Sunday, June 14 through Thursday, June 18
- Week 2: Sunday, June 21 through Friday, June 26
- Week 3: Sunday, June 28 through Thursday, July 2
- Week 4: Monday, July 6 through Friday, July 10
- Week 5-7: Sundays through Thursdays, July 12 through July 30
Hours
- Sunday, June 14: Counselor Move-in, times to be determined.
- Week 1: Monday 9 am through Friday 4 pm (variable hours)
- Week 2: Sunday 9 am through Friday 3 pm
- Week 3: Sunday 2 pm through Thursday 3 pm
- Week 4: Monday 6 pm through Friday 3 pm
- Week 5-7: Sundays 2 pm through Thursdays 3 pm
Salary
- $3000 / seven weeks
