talent development program

Where you will achieve BIG things.

The Talent Development (TD) Program at URI helps in-state students of color and disadvantaged students who, without the support of TD, otherwise could not expect to attend URI. Today, thousands of members of the TD Nation are achieving their educational and professional goals.

What We Do

TD recruits students with college potential, admits them through a rigorous Summer Program, provides them with an assigned academic advisor, and retains students with financial and other assistance.

Special note about Mr. DiMaio:

Everyone always asks how Mr. D is doing. At this time, Mr. D's health is fragile. He is home and taking good care of himself but we all know that the most powerful medicine is the love of family and friends. This is a good time for all of you who had your lives touched and changed by Mr. D. to reach out to him. Cards, letters and phone calls keep the spirit strong. So give our Mr. D. a shout.
