School Matinee Program

Welcome to the URI Theatre Department's selections for the 2011-2012 season at the University of Rhode Island. Please join the prize-winning department and acting ensemble when they perform the productions scheduled for this season in the Robert E. Will Theatre and J Studio of the Fine Arts Center, Kingston campus where they promise to offer a widely exciting variety of theatrical experiences that you and your students are sure to enjoy. We offer the following information to assist you in the decision-making process of which show(s) you and your students may be interested in attending and we guarantee you an amazing season. theatre students Please come and discover the magical world of theatre.

We are happy to have study guides available to augment curriculum for several of the shows. Please ask for a copy when you make your reservation. To arrange for a reservation, please contact the Theatre Department Chairperson, Paula McGlasson at 874-2712. We ask that you make reservations as soon as possible as the School Matinees sell out very quickly. No money is due when you book your reservation.

We are thrilled about this season's line up and are very much looking forward to sharing the experience of theatre with you and your students.

Add Lunch...

Ronzio's Pizza will be offering a "quick lunch" in the Theatre Lobby immediately following each matinee. The lunch Includes two slices of cheese pizza and a drink at a cost of $4.50. Take it to go, enjoy it in the lobby, or picnic style on the front lawn. If your students would like to purchase a "quick lunch", please notify Bonnie, 874-5922, bboz@uri.edu or Mary, 874-5921, malakorn@mail.uri.edu. Final head counts will be due one week prior to the play. Lunch money is collected by the school contact and is due at the box office on the morning of the play. The school contact is responsible for providing students with a receipt that will be presented to the "quick lunch" staff. DO NOT combine lunch and ticket sales money. Please make any "quick lunch" checks payable to Ronzio's Pizza. In addition, various snacks and beverages will be available in the lobby for $1.00 each.
